Chairman of Chicago-based Incapital LLC
Tom Ricketts is Chairman of Chicago-based Incapital LLC, which he founded in 2000. Incapital is an investment bank that underwrites and distributes fixed income securities issued by major corporations, banks and federal agencies. Incapital is also a leading underwriter, distributor and liquidity provider in a wide range of other products including certificates of deposit, structured products, annuities, mortgage-backed securities and municipal bonds. Institutional Investor Magazine named him one of the 40 most influential leaders in electronic finance. To baseball fans, Tom is better known as the chairman of the Chicago Cubs. He and his family bought the Cubs in 2009.

George H. Walper Jr. is President of Spectrem Group and has more than 30 years of experience serving the high net worth and retirement services markets. Walper has a BS in business from the State University of New York College at Buffalo and an MBA from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Nicholas Alonso is a portfolio manager within the multi asset group. He is responsible for quantitative model research, development and enhancements for PanAgora’s multi asset strategies. Alonso joined PanAgora from Mellon Capital Management (formerly Franklin Portfolio) where he was a quantitative analyst primarily responsible for research and management of market neutral equity portfolios. He is a CFA charterholder.

Matt Berler graduated from Cornell University with an A.B. in history and Harvard Business School with an M.B.A. Berler holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco. He joined Osterweis Capital Management as a managing director. He was selected as an Institutional Investor All Star Analyst from 1992 to 2002.

Sumanta Biswas, CFA

Assistant Portfolio Manager and Vice President at Polaris Capital Management, LLC in Boston.
Sumanta Biswas works with PCM Founder Bernie Horn in portfolio management, conducting fundamental analysis of potential investment opportunities.  Previously, he was an officer of the Securities and Exchange Board of India.  Mr. Biswas received a master’s in finance from Boston College in 2001, and an MBS from Calcutta University in 1996.


 
Brian Boyle

Brian Boyle, CFA, founded Boyle Capital in 2004, and as President and Chief Investment Officer he is responsible for investment management and asset allocation at the firm. Boyle graduated summa cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor’s in finance. Boyle holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Member of the CFA Institute and the Iowa Society of Financial Analysts.

Isaac Braley joined BTS Asset Management in 1999 and has served as a significant contributor to portfolio analysis, to the creation of the popular Alpha Strategic Asset Allocation Portfolios, and Multi-Strategy Portfolios at BTS. Braley is head of distribution for the organization. He actively attends industry investment and research conferences speaking on topics regarding portfolio design and behavioral finance.

Brody J. Browe served as a managing director at Stark Investments, a global alternative investment firm. He spent nine years as an executive director at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Browe is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He has a B.A. in economics from Miami University.

Alex Crooke is a portfolio manager of the Henderson Global Equity Income and Dividend & Income Builder Funds. Crooke is currently head of the Henderson Global Equity Income team. He joined Henderson as a fund manager with responsibility for UK and European investments and was named director of UK investment trusts in 2001. He graduated with honors from Manchester University with a degree in astrophysics and is an associate member of the Society of Investment Professionals in the UK.

Carlos Diez founded MarketGrader.com, an independent equity research firm, in 1999. He oversaw the development of its quantitative research methodology, led the development of 14 MarketGrader Indexes and the Barron’s 400 Index, and oversaw the expansion of its research coverage to 35,000 global equities. Diez founded MarketGrader Capital which launched the Barron’s 400 ETF with ALPS Advisors. He has a B.A. in economics from Pepperdine University.

David Gong is a senior portfolio manager at The Stanley-Laman Group. Gong has over 25 years of experience in global asset management including nine years spent in Hong Kong and Singapore. He received a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, a J.D. from the University of California, Davis where he earned Order of the Coif honors, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

Pultz began his career at Neuberger Berman LLC where he was a government bond trader and provided allocation recommendations to the Firm’s internal investment management teams. He holds a B.S. in finance from Fairfield University and an M.B.A from Fordham University Graduate School of Business. Pultz is a member of the Firm's multi-strategy fund investment committee.

He is currently serving as a trustee for the Oregon State University Foundation and is a past president of the Oregon State University Alumni Association.

Dan Thibeault is the CIO and CEO of GL Capital Partners. He leads GL’s Investment Committee and serves as the head portfolio manager for its global macro and multi-strategy fixed income mutual funds and hedge fund. Thibeault worked in fixed income at Goldman Sachs and completed strategic investments within GE Capital’s Private Equity Group. He received his MBA from Harvard University and BA from Dartmouth College.

He earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in professional accountancy from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, and is a certified public accountant.

Stephen Weiss is the CIO and Managing Partner of Short Hills Capital Partners, a multi-manager fund established with a personal investment from the industry’s most successful hedge fund manager. SHCP focuses on experienced, under the radar equity hedge funds. A former tax attorney, Steve has spent his entire 27 investment industry career working with Alternatives. He has held senior management positions at Salomon Brothers, SAC Capital and Lehman Brothers. Additionally, Steve was Co-Founder/CIO of MSW Asset Management, a long/short equity fund. The author of two investment books and a novel, he regularly appears on CNBC’s Halftime Report.

Michael Winchell is CIO and managing member of Larkin Point Investment Advisors LLC. He was portfolio manager and principal of Mariner VCL Asset Management and served as managing partner of Hunter Partners LLC and COO of Bear Wagner Specialists LLC. Winchell graduated from UNC Greensboro in 1978 and earned an M.A. in English in 1980 and an M.A. in economics from North Carolina State University in 1982.
