St. Petersburg, Fla.-based financial services firm Raymond James has appointed four executives in information technology and operations, company officials said today.

Vincent Campagnoli has been named senior vice president, head of Private Client Group technology strategy and development. He reports directly to Chet Helck, Raymond James COO and head of the Private Client Group.

"This new position was created to more directly align our IT organization with the Private Client business," said Helck. "Vin's hire reinforces our commitment to make it easier for advisors to work with Raymond James through technology solutions that support their practices and help them more efficiently serve their clients."

Campagnoli has more than 25 years of financial services industry experience, with specialty in advisor and client technology and reporting, and financial planning and portfolio management systems. Prior to joining Raymond James he held senior-level positions at UBS Wealth Management Americas, Morgan Stanley and Prudential/Wachovia Securities.

Sateesh Prabakaran has been appointed chief architect, heading several key areas, including architecture, enterprise data and database administration. He joins Raymond James from BNY Mellon, where he was chief architect and managing director, responsible for streamlining the IT environment and defining the architecture for technology across all lines of business.

Prabakaran reports directly to David Allen, Chief Technology Officer, architecture and core services, who was named to his position in October. Prior, Allen had been leading software development for the firm. He initially joined Raymond James in May 2010, from IBM's strategy and transformation consulting practice where he focused on financial markets and banking.

Also joining Raymond James' advisor technology support team is Joe Meyer, who was named to the new position of technology consultant. His role is to help advisors evaluate the most appropriate reporting, planning, discretionary trading and CRM systems, and recommend those that will best support their practices.

Meyer joined Raymond James in 1997 as an Advent Axys support analyst. He later helped develop technology tools for the Financial Planning Group to support the Raymond James Advisory Process. He has worked with business units within Raymond James, including Asset Management, Alternative Investments, Mutual Fund Research and Compliance.

Earlier in the year, Greg Rust was named senior vice president, operations-service delivery -- a new position focused on working with many of the firm's advisor- and client-facing departments, streamlining and coordinating their operations and helping to continuously improve processes and training.

"These recent appointments underscore Raymond James' client-first philosophy," Helck said. "We treat our advisors as our clients and are committed to doing everything in our power to make it easy for them to do business with us. Whether that means support from technology tools, practice management resources, client communications support or a person on the phone who is willing and able to help meet their needs, we are here to help Raymond James advisors be successful in their practices."
