Margaret M. Towle, who manages about $1 billion in assets for endowments and wealthy families, has joined HighTower as a partner and managing director and will serve on the firm's Group Investment Services Steering Committee.

Towle, who has offices in Seattle and Minneapolis, was formerly an advisor with Greycourt, where she oversaw research and development across traditional and alternative asset classes. She was named one of the "Top 50 Women in Wealth" by Bloomberg Wealth Manager in 2009 and served a two-year term as a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) board of directors.

HighTower is a national, advisor-owned financial service company serving high-net-worth and institutional clients.

Before joining Greycourt, Towle, who holds a Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation, served as chief investment officer of Northern Trust Global Advisors.

"Dr. Towle [has] 28 years of experience in the financial industry across numerous senior positions," says HighTower Partner and Managing Director Matthias Kuhlmey. "In addition, she brings with her a client base that includes more than $1 billion of wealthy family and institutional assets under management."
