Even though 210,000 jobs are expected to be created every month this year, some cities won’t reap the benefits of that growth.

WalletHub set out to find out where the most jobs will be available, along with the best job conditions. The financial resources website ranked 150 metropolitan areas and some came up short in the ranking of best places to look for a job.

WalletHub looked at job opportunities, unemployment rates and job growth, and community factors such as housing affordability and median income. The following 10 cities came in last in the ranking. They are listed here in descending order, with the worst listed last, along with one of the reasons the city received the poor grade. The entire report can be found here.

No. 10 San Bernardino, Calif.

San Bernardino tied for fifth place for the worst unemployment rate.

No. 9 Hialeah, Fla.

Hialeah has the fifth-lowest number of job opportunities.

No. 8 Brownsville, Texas

Brownsville came in next to last for the lowest median monthly starting salary.

No. 7 Ontario, Calif.

Ontario is next to last for employment growth.

No. 6 Newark, N.J.

Newark tied for fifth place for the worst unemployment rate.

No. 5 Providence, R.I.

Providence has few job opportunities and slow growth rate.

No. 4 Modesto, Calif.

Modesto earned third place for highest unemployment rate.

No. 3 Detroit

Detroit tied for last place for the highest unemployment rate.

No. 2 Fresno, Calif.

The city Detroit tied with for highest unemployment rate was Fresno.

No. 1 Stockton, Calif.

Stockton earned the worst spot for having the next-to-highest unemployment rate and poor job opportunities.
