If your clients want to earn the big bucks, there are some specific jobs to steer them towards, according to Glassdoor, a jobs information and posting website.

The job search site compiled a list of the highest-paying jobs in America in 2016, using salary reports from its users. C-suite jobs were excluded from the report.

Here are the 20 best-paying jobs and their median base salaries, listed in ascending order.

No. 20: Data architect, $113,000. These architects create information and technology road maps for a company.

 

No. 19: Actuary, $115,000. Actuaries analyze financial risk and uncertainty.

 

No. 18: Creative director, $115,000. These people execute new marketing initiatives for a company, leading branding and design.

 

No. 17: Risk manager, $115,000. These managers deal with insurance, liability and legal compliance.

 

No. 16: Computer and data research scientist, $115,000. These scientists solve complex problems in computing. Employment for this job is projected to grow 11 percent by 2024.

 

No. 15: Finance manager, $115,000. These managers produce financial reports and direct investment activities, and develop strategies and plans for the long-term financial goals of their organization.

 

No. 14: Systems architect, $116,920. These architects build and maintain a company's databases, software and system coding.

 

No. 13: Pharmacist, $118,000. Pharmacists are well paid but can have long hours and may have to work weekends. They must have a doctoral degree to practice.

 

No. 12: Applications development manager, $120,000. These managers oversee and improve internal systems and software. A bachelor's degree and several years of experience in the field are required.

 

No. 11: Engagement manager, $120,000. These people are responsible for client relationships. The role requires skills in marketing and project management.

 

No. 10: Solutions architect, $120,000. These people lead or help in the design of products and projects, but are also heavily involved in the technical side of creating them.

 

No. 9: Information technology manager, $120,000. These people make sure that all of their company's equipment, software and networks operate smoothly, and they execute the IT goals of the organization.

No. 2: Lawyer, $144,500. While pay can vary depending on what type of law you practice, the median salary is high enough to make lawyer the second best-paying job in America. What's more, Glassdoor's job listing page shows more than 9,000 openings.

 

No. 1: Medical doctor, $180,000. Not only is this the top-paying job in the U.S., employment for medical doctors is projected to grow 14 percent by 2024, twice as fast as the average for all occupations.
