Ibis Capital is the recently formed wealth management firm founded by Neil McNeil III, Robert Meyer and Ryan Clive-Smith. Previously known as the La Jolla Group of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, they left MSSB to establish a new, independent, boutique firm. McNeil III is chief investment officer, Meyer is director of strategic and financial planning and Clive-Smith is director of business development. Ibis Capital maintains a direct partnership with their RIA Stratos Wealth Partners, a financial services practitioner affiliated with LPL Financial.

Based in San Diego, Ibis Capital seeks to retain over 80 client relationships representing approximately $300 million in client assets in the transition.
