Advisors Asset Management has hired Roberto Roffo as senior vice president and portfolio manager to expand its tax-exempt management capabilities, primarily with municipal fixed-income strategies. He will be based in the firm’s Princeton, N.J., office. Roffo most recently served as the managing director, senior portfolio manager for SMC Fixed Income Management. Roffo has also served as the managing director at Claymore Advisors and as director for Merrill Lynch Asset Management.
