Advisors interested in measuring their practice against industry benchmarks may want to participate in a telephone conference call Tuesday, Sept. 28, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. offered through the Financial Planning Association's Virtual Learning Center.

Mark Tibergein and Bethany Carlson of Seattle-based Moss Adams will review findings of the FPA's 2004 Financial Performance Study of Financial Advisory Practices. Tibergien is a principal of Moss Adams Advisory Services (MAAS), a division of Moss Adams LLP. Carlson is a senior business consulting analyst with Moss Adams LLP.

The study, produced by Moss Adams and sponsored by SEI Investments, explores how individual firm performance is related to various issues, including strategy and markets, organization and structure, client and prospect management, service providers and custodians, outsourcing and business succession.

The call will include a PowerPoint presentation via the Web and will be followed by a 30-minute online question-and-answer session. The cost for FPA members is $59 and $79 for others. Interested advisors may register at www.fpanet.org/member/meetings/online_education.
