The American College has awarded its highest honor
to financial advisor Jack B. Turner of Jack B. Turner & Associates
in Clarksville, Tenn.
The Huebner Gold Medal-named after college founder
Solomon S. Huebner-has been awarded annually since 1975 to honor
individuals who support the college and "whose dedication to education
and professionalism have been of particular meaning to the mission and
progress of the institution," according to the college.
Turner is an alumnus of the college and a member and
past chairman of the President's Circle. A donor to the college the
past 14 years, Turner has served as a trustee of The American College
and Life Underwriting Training Council (LUTC). He has also served on
The American College Foundation Board.
Turner was also a charter inductee of the Robert E. Musto Tennessee
Insurance Hall of Fame and received the John Newton Russell Award from
the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
He earned his CLU in 1963 from The American College
and, at age 27, served as the youngest president of the Tennessee
Association of Life Underwriters.
"Jack's reputation for generosity and service to the
community is without equal," said Larry Barton, president and CEO of
The American College. "His 'can do' attitude and willingness to help
people is part of everything he does."
