Upswing CRM, a web-based on-demand customer relationship management program for financial services professionals, has announced plans to release a comprehensive upgrade on May 21. Upswing Version 2.0 will feature numerous Web 2.0 capabilities including drag and drop functionality, tagging, and widgets.
Widgets are little windows that display information or perform specific functions. Upswing 2.0 offers widgets that display and sort opportunities, a widget that displays the contacts who have referred the most business to a firm, and a projects widget. Advisors can arrange widgets on their home page or dashboard by dragging and dropping widgets to customize their layout.
The contacts section has been improved with such features as the ability to add unlimited customizable fields and the ability to color code contacts. The new calendar includes additional views as well as the ability to create and maintain multiple calendars. In addition, the calendar can be programmed to generate an agenda for the advisor each day and then deliver it to the advisor by email. Upswing 2.0 includes at least 65 standard reports, and it offers advisors the ability to create an unlimited number of customizable reports.
Version 2.1 is slated for release in July. It will offer additional enhancements such as email integration, support for Blackberry and iPhone, and a time management module. Prices range from $20 to $36 per user per month, depending on the number of users per firm.
