In spite of the annoyances I've outlined above, my overall impression of the Skill Weighted Portfolio platform was positive. At $325 per month (or $3,000 per year) it represents good value. If it can save time and help bring in new business, which I believe it can, the platform should pay for itself in short order.

It is highly appropriate for both novice planners and those with more experience. It is suitable for use with high-net-worth individuals, and it can also be used for trusts, endowments and pension plans. The platform provides a concise but effective prospect/marketing program, combined with an effective investment process. Most important, it educates the client and allows the advisor to pursue a client centric investment approach.

The Skill Weighed Portfolio is more of an evolutionary product than a revolutionary one, but the execution and results are, for the most part, quite pleasing. For those in search of a platform that aids in marketing and executing core/satellite type strategies, this product is alluring.
