The CFP Board Center for Financial Planning and TD Ameritrade Institutional are asking for submissions for the first in a series of best paper awards that will be presented at the center’s annual symposium in February.

The two entities are looking for papers that bring psychological insight into human behavior that affects financial decision making.

The TD Ameritrade Institutional Best Paper Award for Behavioral Finance will be presented at the center’s Academic Research Colloquium for Financial Planning and Related Disciplines in Washington D.C. Feb. 20-22. The colloquium will highlight research about financial planning.

The deadline for submissions is Sept. 15. The author of the winning paper will receive $2,500.
