Courses offered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority can now be used for continuing education credits for the CFP designation, the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. announced Wednesday.

Nearly 60 e-learning FINRA courses are now eligible to be used for continuing education credits as a result of FINRA being named a Quality Continuing Education partner of the CFP Board. CFP designees have to complete 30 CE credits every two years to maintain the designation.

The courses cover areas such as anti-money laundering, communications with the public, cyber security and senior investor issues.
