Cetera Financial Group continued its shake-up of top management today, promoting Cetera Advisors' chief of advisor relations to president.

Erinn Ford, appointed senior vice president of advisor relations in 2012, has replaced Brett Harrison as president of Cetera Advisors, which serves 1,300 independent advisors.

Harrison, who was serving as Cetera Advisors president and CEO, will continue as the broker-dealer’s CEO and assume “an expanded executive role at Cetera Financial Group, reporting to [CEO] Larry Roth,” the company said in a press release.

The move comes a week after Roth took over as Cetera Financial Group CEO, replacing Valerie Brown, who resigned to take on a consulting role with the company and move on “to other pursuits,” according to a company statement.

Cetera Advisors is one of five broker-dealers that comprise the Cetera Financial Group, which serves 8,400 financial professionals and 600 firms and is a subsidiary of RCS Capital Corp.

Ford, 44, has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry, according to Cetera. As senior vice president of advisor relations at Cetera Advisors, she “focused on enhancing the advisor experience through proactive outreach, championing the feedback voiced by the field and reviewing the firm’s goals and strategies to ensure alignment with advisor needs.”

She holds a bachelor’s degree in speech communications from the University of Washington, according to the firm.

“Erinn has proven to be an outstanding leader, and no one is more effective at successfully driving a strong relationship culture like the one we have at Cetera Advisors,” Harrison said.
