Cetera Financial Group has expanded its technology leadership team with the appointment of Mukesh Mehta as chief information officer. Mehta will also join the company’s executive team.

Mehta previously served as managing director and chief information officer, institutional, for TD Ameritrade. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president and head of IT for Schwab Institutional.

The company also announced that Leda Csanka, who previously served as senior vice president and CIO, will move into the newly created role of chief technology officer and report to Mehta.

Cetera also reported three additional appointments to its technology team. Mohan Gurupackiam has joined the firm as vice president, head of applications, delivery and operations; Derek Gledhill is senior director, advisor workstations; and Sandy Coffey is head of IT finance and governance.

Gurupackiam’s experience includes nearly 14 years at E*Trade Financial Corporation, where he served most recently as director, software engineering. Gledhill has spent more than 20 years in the financial services industry and held the position of vice president, broker workstation, advice and wealth management at Ameriprise Financial prior to joining Cetera. Coffey comes to the company from American Honda Motor Co., where she served as an IT executive for American Honda Finance Corporation / Honda Canada Finance, Inc.
