Cetera Financial Group has launched a new technology platform that gives its financial advisors more flexibility for coordinating client’s accounts, Cetera announced Thursday.

The new platform, My Advice Architect, is the first part of a new suite of tools called Advice Architect Ecosystem that Cetera will roll out in the coming months, says Cetera, a network of independent advisory firms. To create the new tools Cetera is working with Envestnet, a technology platform for advisors.

My Advice Architect brings Cetera’s core advisor-driven investment programs together on the same technology platform, enabling advisors to serve their clients with more flexibility and transparency, Cetera says.

Cetera president Adam Antoniades said the new platform will give advisors easy access to a breadth of investment options and third-party asset managers that was not previously available from a single source.

In a press release, Cetera CEO Robert Moore said, “This platform is the first component of a much larger story. In the coming months, we will be announcing additional comprehensive service offerings, including a client-driven, digital advice solution that will also be offered as part of My Advice Architect. In its entirety, our Advice Architect Ecosystem will transform how advisors guide individuals and families towards the achievement of financial well-being at every stage of life.”

The platform makes advisors more productive, according to Lincoln Ross, executive vice president, head of product strategy and marketing at Envestnet.

Another piece will be added in June to enable Cetera to roll out a robo-advice platform that will be embedded in the existing technology, Moore said. “It is our belief that this kind of integrated technology is the future of the industry.”
