Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards is celebrating its 25th anniversary this month by launching a video commemorating its contributions to financial planning and its public advocacy.

The video features messages from the board's current and past leaders on the 25-year transformation of the CFP certification, the board's public advocacy and what the board will be working toward.

In addition to releasing the video, the board recently used a Webinar to provide CFP professionals with an update on the organization's progress and its plans for a new marketing and educational campaign. CFP Board intends to increase public awareness of what a CFP professional does, CFP Board as a whole, and how the public can benefit from the CFP certification.

Over the next several months, the board will ask CFP professionals for input on its marketing and educational plans through an online survey, in-person meetings and other communications.
