High-net-worth investors are concerned about their digital security, but few have done anything about it, according to U.S. Trust’s Insights on Wealth and Worth survey.

Sixty-nine percent of respondents say they are concerned about security, but only 33 percent have taken steps, such as changing passwords or not posting sensitive information, to correct the situation, says the survey, which included 680 investors with at least $3 million in investable assets.

Their on-line reputation is important to 76 percent of the respondents, who said their digital presence affects their careers and businesses (45 percent), personal relationships (21 percent) and status in the community (10 percent).
