Five millennial advisors have been recognized for the positive impacts they’ve made on the financial planning insurstry, as the American College of Financial Services announced the winners of its inaugural Millennial Advisor Award on Monday.

The first class of award-winners is composed of Clarisa M. Hernandez of the North Star Resource Group; Brandon Levithan of 1847Financial; Adam D. Paoli of The Heartland Group; Mark Perrault of Northwestern Mutual; and Brandon A. Turner of Ameriprise Financial Services.

According to the American College of Financial Services, the five winners demonstrated outstanding performance and leadership in their careers, and a high level of commitment and integrity within the profession. To qualify for the award, individuals must be under age 35.

“As a profession, we need to highlight the great work that millennials are doing in financial services and specifically as financial advisors,” said Jamie Hopkins, co-director of The American College New York Life Center for Retirement Income Planning and chair of the college’s Millennial Advisory Task Force. “Millennials are now the largest generation in the workforce, so it’s not just the future, millennial advisors are also the now for financial services.”
