The Financial Planning Association and The Foundation for Financial Planning today announced they will partner to expand the pro bono they provide to people in need of financial services.

The Foundation for Financial Planning will coordinate the pro bono work of the FPA, direct outreach programs on behalf of the FPA chapters, and support the chapters' pro bono activities, according to the organizations. The foundation will add at least one person to its staff to coordinate the efforts.

The Foundation for Financial Planning coordinates outreach programs to connect people in need of financial services with the resources they require. Partnering with the FPA will enable the financial community to expand its pro bono services, says foundation Chairwoman Elissa Buie.
