Four advisors with a total of $348 million in client assets left various firms to set up independent practices with Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network, Wells Fargo announced Thursday.

John Witt of Hinsdale, Ill., who left UBS to open an independent practice with Wells Fargo, has $107 million in client assets.

Bob Coombs and Anthony Ortiz, formerly with LPL, opened The Captiva Group in Newburgh, N.Y., with $176 million in client assets.

Alexander Varela of Little Rock, Ark., left U.S. Bancorp Investments to open an independent practice, Varela Investments, and has $65 million in client assets.
