The Financial Planning Association announced that it is joining with FP Transitions to aid next generation advisors with information and support as they take over planning practices.

Under the deal, which makes FP Transitions the “Official Partner of the Next Generation of Financial Planners,” FPA members will be able to access FP Transitions content and thought leadership.

In addition, Lake Oswego, Ore.-based FP Transitions will sponsor the 2017 FPA Annual Retreat, the FPA NexGen Gathering, the FPA NexGen Lounge at the 2017 FPA Annual Conference, and a series of columns in The Journal of Financial Planning.

Brad Bueermann, CEO of FP Transitions, said that the partnership will eventually make it easier for advisors looking to sell or transition their business to find qualified buyers.

“We’ve worked with RIAs expanding ownership to 20 new partners, father-daughter teams, and everything in between,”  Bueermannin said in a released statement. “We designed the strategies and solved the financing issue, now the last thing is building the talent.”
