The Financial Planning Association annual conference in Seattle this year will focus on successful business practices for financial advisors.

The conference, formerly known as FPA Experience, has been renamed FPA BE: Business & Education for Today's CFP Professional. It will be held at the Washington State Convention Center on September 20-22. 

The event will include leaders from business and industry who will focus on the business end of financial planning, while still including sessions on the practice, according to the FPA.

The program for FPA BE will be partially developed by FPA members through crowdsourcing, with members voting on session topics.
