The Financial Planning Association and LifeCare are partnering to provide financial services for American employees, the FPA announced Thursday.

LifeCare provides the employees of its member companies help in finding such things as child and adult care, legal services and health care. The FPA will now help LifeCare member firm employees find financial planners and solve financial issues.

“While creating stronger recognition of FPA, we will also be in a position to potentially educate and assist millions of Americans with the resources they need to achieve financial security,” says the FPA's executive director and CEO, Lauren M. Schadle.

The partnership will take several initiatives in 2015. One is to integrate the FPA PlannerSearch program with the LifeCare platform to help employees who want professional financial planning expertise. In addition, the partnership will conduct a research project, studying the retirement readiness and financial planning awareness of American workers.
