Franklin Square Capital Partners has hired Mike Gerber as senior vice president of public affairs, strategy and product administration. In his new role, Gerber will lead Franklin Square's government and regulatory affairs group. Gerber currently serves as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and as a trustee of Pennsylvania's State Employees' Retirement System. However, he will be stepping down from both posts this November. Previous positions also include serving as a member of the corporate and securities practice group for the law firm Drinker Biddle & Reath and serving as counsel to Pennsylvania's former Governor Ed Rendell's transition team.
