The Financial Services Institute has added 500 new financial advisors to its membership rolls.

The new FSI members come from independent broker-dealers IEP Financial and Cetera Financial Group. Each member receives a complimentary one-year membership courtesy of their firm.

“Numbers and grassroots engagement are critical to our advocacy success,” Dale Brown, president and CEO of FSI, said in a statement. “The momentum our members are creating speaks loudly that every independent financial advisor should join the fight to protect their business by becoming an FSI member.”

The FSI is an advocacy organization for independent financial services firms and independent financial advisors. It now has over 100 financial services firm members and over 35,000 financial advisor members.
