The Financial Services Institute (FSI) today launched a smartphone/tablet mobile app to increase its financial advisor members' lobbying clout on regulatory and legislative issues.

FSI officials say this app will put all aspects of FSI's online Advocacy Action Center at the fingertips of its members. FSI Advocacy App's features include instant notification on industry critical issues, real-time news alerts, current petitions pending in different states, list of elected officials at different levels of government, issues effecting businesses and FSI's involvement, and information on FSI's political action committee.

"In this crucial election year, it is critical that our members are provided the framework necessary to take meaningful action, and to take that action on the go," Dale Brown, president and CEO of FSI, said in a press release.

FSI is an advocacy organization representing independent financial services firms and independent financial advisors with over 100 financial services firm members and over 35,000 financial advisor members.
