The Financial Services Institute (FSI) today unveiled a new Web site that institute officials say will improve FSI members' ability to advocate institute issues in both Washington, D.C., and their own regional backyard.

"This new and improved site will enhance our members' ability to forcefully advocate in Washington, D.C., and in the states," said Dale E. Brown, president of FSI, the Washington D.C-based advocacy organization for independent financial services firms and independent financial advisors.

Brown said FSI's redesigned site, at www.financialservices.org, reflects the organization's financial advisor advocacy mandate.

"Everything we do at FSI starts and finishes with advocacy," Brown said. "That means every tool we provide our firm executives and financial advisors to personally engage in the process must be easy and effective."

FSI's revamped Web site provides members with the latest industry news, FSI events, any FSI "Calls To Action" and ways members can donate to FSI advocacy campaigns.

The launch of the new site comes shortly after FSI unveiled its new Twitter page, @FSIWashington. FSI officials say the institute will continue to ramp up its online efforts next year.
