Edward W. Gjertsen II has been elected FPA president-elect for 2014, FPA announced at its annual conference Experience 2013 in Orlando, Fla.
His one-year term will begin Jan. 1 after which he will become president, succeeding the 2014 president Janet Stanzak.
Gjertsen has held FPA leadership positions both locally and nationally, including three years on the FPA Board of Directors.
Gjertsen is vice president of Mack Investment Securities Inc. in Glenview, Ill., where he specializes in retirement planning, portfolio management and estate planning.
Also David Brand, an organization consultant, has been named FPA director of strategic operations. Brand will oversee the implementation of the FPA business plan.
