Grandeur Peak Global Advisors, an investment firm based in Salt Lake City, announced today that it will soft close two funds.

Both the Grandeur Peak Global Opportunities Fund and the Grandeur Peak International Opportunities Fund will not accept new investors after May 1st.

The Global Opportunities Fund invests primarily in small- and micro-cap companies based in the U.S. and developed foreign countries. The fund manages approximately $400 million.

At approximately $300 million, The International Opportunities Fund invests primarily in foreign small- and micro-cap companies.

The funds are closing to leave room for existing shareholders to continue investing, for potential growth from performance, and for future small- and micro-cap funds that the firm intends to launch, according to Eric Huefner, president of Grandeur Peak.
