Guggenheim Partners has hired Henry Silverman as vice chairman of its investment management business. Silverman will advise on Guggenheim's expansion efforts as it seeks to buy Deutsche Bank AG's asset management business. Silverman, former chief operating officer of Apollo Global Management, will be based in New York.

Guggenheim Partners is a privately held global financial services firm with more than $125 billion in assets under management.
