Hatteras Funds has added four alternative investment specialists to its national sales team.

Thomas Baker has been appointed west regional director, based in San Francisco. Prior to joining Hatteras Funds, Baker was vice president and divisional director for Morgan Stanley Investment Management, where he was responsible for raising capital for alternative investment strategies.

Casey Brunner has been appointed midwest regional director, based in Milwaukee. Brunner joins Hatteras Funds from Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Invesco where he was a regional sales director.

Michael Kurz joins Hatteras Funds as southwest regional director, based in Dallas. Previously with 1st Global Advisors, Kurz was responsible for the platform development of structured investment and alternative investment capabilities.

Robert Schwab has been appointed metro regional associate and is based in Hatteras Funds' home office of Raleigh, N.C. Schwab joins the Hatteras Funds' internal sales and service team from Goldman Sachs where he was regional consultant.

Hatteras Funds manages $2 billion in alternative investment strategies for a broad range of institutions, endowments, pensions and high-net-worth individuals.
