IMCA has appointed Jim Dobbs director of education. In this position, Dobbs will develop and improve IMCA's in-person and online learning products and platforms. Dobbs will oversee content development and implementation, delivering courses and curricula related to IMCA's certifications and continuing education requirements. For the past six years, Dobbs has served as a certification consultant and program director for IMCA's Certified Private Wealth Advisor program. A consultant and educator for more than 20 years, Dobbs founded and managed the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board) and also founded Dobbs Wealth, a fee-only financial planning and investment advisory practice serving private clients.

Based in Denver, IMCA was established to deliver investment consulting and wealth management credentials and educational offerings through the Certified Investment Management Analyst or CIMA certification, and the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® or CPWA® designation.
