Incapital, an underwriter and distributor of fixed income, equity and equity derivatives, is opening an office in New York City to strengthen its presence in the region and its division of credit sales, trading and capital markets, Incapital announced Monday.

Headquartered in Chicago, Incapital also has made several staff additions. Larry Haag will head Incapital's credit sales in New York as a managing director. He was previously head of credit sales at Cantor Fitzgerald and Raymond James.

Tony Coniglione has been hired to oversee credit trading as a managing director. Coniglione previously was with KGS Alpha, a fixed-income broker-dealer.

Other new additions include:

Paul Woldar, executive director, institutional sales. He previously was with Oppenheimer and Mesirow Financial.

Mike Stevens, head of the firm's preferred stock trading operations. He previously held positions at Susquehanna International Group, Kellogg Partners and Goldman Sachs.

Chris Hogg and Rob Fischer, managing directors. Hogg was previously at Goldman Sachs, Bank of America/Merrill Lynch and Macquarie Capital. Fischer joined from Pierpont Capital Advisors and Bear Stearns.
