Jack Maurer, of Newport Beach, Calif., and president of Capital Advisors Network has been awarded the professional designation of Registered Financial Consultant (RFC). The RFC designation is presented to financial advisors who meet standards in seven criteria: education, examination, experience, ethics, financial licensure, conduct and continuing professional education. Prior to the formation of Capital Advisors Network, Maurer was vice chairman and partner at Thompson National Properties. He also co-founded Triple Net Properties and held senior level positions at T REIT and NNN Capital Corp.

The RFC designation is awarded by the International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC), a non-profit educational and professional organization established in 1984.
