Investor confidence in North America fell by 1.6 percent to 102.6, State Street Global Exchange reported Tuesday.

The base is 100, a number that would indicate investors are not changing their long-term appetite for risk.

State Street researcher Kenneth Froot attributed the decline to fears the decline in oil prices would dampen global economic growth.
