(Bloomberg News) The U.S. Internal Revenue Service is reopening a program that allows citizens to voluntarily disclose assets they are holding offshore. The agency said it has collected $4.4 billion from two previous programs.

"We have billions of dollars in hand from our previous efforts and we have more people wanting to come in and get right with the government," IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman said today in a press release announcing the program.
