IW Financial, a leading environmental, social and governance research firm, has added proxy analysis to its product lineup as a result of a partnership with nonprofit Sustainable Investments Institute (Si2).

The agreement enables IW, of Portland, Me., to broaden its offerings and team with a group of expert proxy analysts. "We're pleased to offer our clients a choice when it comes to getting good research on environmental and social proxy issues," said Sam Pierce, IW Financial's CEO.

The partnership will enable IW Financial to provide its clients with the online tools and reports produced by Si2. Si2, in turn, will be able to provide its clients with access to ESG research and the tools on IW Financial's analytic platform.

IW Financial provides ESG research, consulting and portfolio management for asset management firms, managed accounts sponsors, institutional investors, plan sponsors and investment advisors.

Si2, based in Washington, conducts impartial research and publishes reports for its members on shareholder resolutions proposed by investor activists. It also publishes reports for policy makers and the public on corporate and investor responsibility. It is supported mainly by its members that include Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Pomona and Vassar universities.
