Kevin Braine has joined the firm as managing director, head of EMEA for the compliance practice. He will be based in London. Braine’s most recent roles include director, business intelligence services at Deloitte LLP, in London, and director of corporate investigations for Western Europe for Control Risks. Braine was also with the Risk Advisory Group, where he was responsible for setting up the company’s Paris office and driving new business development in France. 

Steven Bock was appointed vice president, operations and process excellence. He will lead overall due diligence process improvements and operations automation initiatives across the practice. Based in New York City, he joins the firm from Goldman Sachs, where he held a variety of senior roles spanning business intelligence, anti-money laundering compliance, process control and crisis management.

John Arvanitis has joined Kroll as an associate managing director for the compliance practice. He joins the firm after a 27-year career with the U.S. Justice Department, Drug Enforcement Administration. Based in Boston, he is advising clients on anti-money-laundering matters and other aspects of compliance programs. While with the DEA, Arvanitis developed and led numerous initiatives focusing on disrupting and dismantling transnational organized crime syndicates, with an emphasis on their money laundering and other finance-related activities.
