The No. 1 advisor for LPL Financial based on revenue produced has opened two regional offices in Washington state as part of a plan to expand his business nationwide.

Ron Carson, CEO of Carson Wealth Management Group (CWMG) in Omaha, Neb., opened the offices in Yakima and Kennewick by partnering with Paul Neiffer, who is an owner of Hansen NvO LLC, a CPA firm. Neiffer, CPA, CFP, will be a wealth advisor for CWMG as well as continue to operate his CPA practice.

"I've been in this business a long time, and I believe strongly that we have developed an ideal model for serving the 'middle-class millionaire,' not just in our backyard, but nationwide as well," says Carson, who also owns PEAK, an advisor consulting and coaching firm.

Jonathan Foster, president of CWMG, which has $2.6 billion in client assets, is overseeing the national expansion effort. Foster, hired by Carson in 2009, previously ran advisory corporate development for E-Trade Financial.

CWMG gave no timetable for opening future offices. "The key for us is to identify not only attractive regions, but also ideal local partners who understand the value of building a national brand, and recognize the capabilities that Carson Wealth can bring to their practice.  It's really about shared values with regard to serving clients," Foster says.
