Paul Mahan has returned to Commonwealth Financial Network, the firm announced today. Mahan left Commonwealth last month to join LPL Financial’s Retirement Partners division.

Mahan will step back into his previous position as vice president, retirement consulting services, according to the release.

“In my three and a half years with Commonwealth, I had developed incredibly close ties, and I always maintained a great level of pride and excitement in my work—which I value deeply,” Mahan said in a press statement. “I’ve realized the Commonwealth community is where I thrive, and serve, best.”

Commonwealth’s retirement consulting services offers support to advisors retirement business by providing products and resources designed to help advisors build a successful practice.

“After his brief hiatus, I am pleased to welcome Paul back to Commonwealth, where he will pick up right where he left off,” said Commonwealth CEO Wayne Bloom.

Commonwealth would not comment further on the matter.
