MainStay Investments, a New York Life company, is expanding its defined contribution investment-only practice with the addition of two new members, MainStay announced Wednesday.

Dana Hartwell and Douglas Dhom have joined the firm’s Institutional Intermediary Business as senior regional vice presidents in the defined contribution investment-only practice. The new hires are part of MainStay’s build out of a client consulting team for the defined contribution investment-only business.

Hartwell joins MainStay from Hartford Funds, where he was head of national accounts focused on defined contribution investments. Dhom previously led the development of retirement business for Invesco.

“Given the importance of the DCIO marketplace, we're very excited about making a strategic investment and commitment to our institutional intermediary business by building out our expertise and adding significant resources,” says Stephen Fisher, president of New York Life Investment Management and MainStay Investments
