MassMutual Retirement Services has appointed eight new sales representatives to support financial advisors who serve retirement plan sponsors throughout the United States, the company announced Thursday.

The company now has 84 retirement plan professionals, including the six new managing directors (who will train advisors) and two new business development managers (who will work with benefit agencies that sell MassMutual worksite insurance products).

The new managing directors are:

Scott Adams, who will cover the Rocky Mountain states. He was previously a vice president of sales for Lockton Retirement Services.

Joe Amaya, who will work in Western Michigan. Previously, Amaya was the regional vice president for John Hancock in Milwaukee.

Marc Doucette, who will support institutional market plan sales for Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, Vermont and upstate New York. He was previously with Prudential Retirement and CIGNA.

David Eliopulos, who will support emerging market plan sales for Oregon and Vancouver, Wash. Previously, Eliopulos was a regional sales director for Paychex Inc.

J.T. Gallinaro, who will support emerging market sales for independent financial advisors and benefit agents in Houston. He previously held positions at Lincoln Financial and John Hancock in the retirement plan services groups.

Thad Letzer, who will support emerging market sales for eastern Los Angeles. Letzer was most recently the regional sales director for Paychex Inc.

The new business development managers are:

Rob Dziema, who will cover the MassMutual central division in the Midwest. He previously served on the MassMutual Retirement Services sales desk.

Raul Vargas, who will support managing directors in the Southeastern United States. He has been with MassMutual since 2012, serving the Florida market as a retirement education specialist.
