Mike Greene, an executive at Ameriprise Financial, has been elected to serve as chair-elect of the CFP Board's board of directors, the organization announced Thursday.

Greene has been a member of the board of directors since 2012. At Ameriprise, he is the senior vice president of financial planning and advisor business development, overseeing the firm’s financial planning business.

Before joining Ameriprise in 2002, Greene worked at McKinsey & Company and CNH Global N.V. At the CFP Board, he will serve out the term of G. Joseph Votava Jr., who resigned as chair-elect earlier this year for personal and business reasons. Greene will become chair in 2016.
