“Text me” will soon be something Morgan Stanley Wealth Management advisors can say to their clients.

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management is rolling out texting capabilities for its advisors to use to communicate with clients, the firm announced Tuesday.

The new program is being done in partnership with Twilio, a communications technology firm based in San Francisco. The new application will be secure and archivable. Morgan Stanley anticipates expanding the communications to include video capability in the near future.

The texting capability is being added to enable advisors to communicate with clients in a convenient format within a highly regulated industry, Morgan Stanley said.
