Morningstar announced on Wednesday nominees for its 2016 U.S. Fund Manager of the Year awards.

Each year, Morningstar recognizes managers based on performance, long-term risk adjusted returns and effective stewardship of fund shareholders’ capital. To qualify for the award, nominated fund must be Morningstar Medalists—funds that have been given top ratings by the research firm.

The awards are given in four categories: domestic stock, international stock, fixed income and allocation/alternatives. This year’s winners will be announced January 25 on CNBC’s “Power Lunch” program.
