The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (Napfa) has appointed Anne Gibson, CFP; Tim Kober, CFP; and J. David Lewis to the board of directors. They begin their three-year terms on September 1.

Gibson is the owner of Gibson Financial Solutions in Ellsworth, Maine. A 30-year financial services industry veteran, Gibson has also worked with both the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and the North American Securities Administrators Association.

Kober is the founding principal of Cedar Financial Advisors in Beaverton, Ore. He previously spent 18 years at Intel Corporation in a variety of roles, including director of strategic planning.

Lewis is president of Resource Advisory Services in Knoxville, Tenn., a financial planning firm he opened in 1985.

“Board service is a major commitment, as it requires those volunteering to take time away from their families and businesses to help advance the high ideals of Napfa,” said Napfa chair Lauren Locker. “We believe these members will bring their best to our National Board of Directors.”
