Santa Monica, Calif.-based National Planning Holdings Inc., one of the nation's largest independent broker-dealer networks, has promoted Daniel Weiss, to vice president of due diligence. As vice president, Weiss will manage a team of analysts that facilitates the due diligence process for all product types across the NPH network. He will continue to work closely with affiliated NPH broker-dealers in evaluating prospective investment products, procuring and organizing due diligence requests, and evaluating offering documents. Weiss previously served as assistant vice president and head of research, after being promoted from director of due diligence in 2010. Prior to working at NPH, Weiss served as senior research analyst for both Envestnet Asset Management and Federal Street Advisors.
