Emerald Asset Management, an independent investment advisory firm, which maintains offices in Cary and Rocky Mount, N.C., has joined Raymond James Investment Advisor Division.

Managing partners Robert Leggett, James Tharin and Clint Sorenson founded the new firm. Leggett was previously with UBS, while Tharin and Sorenson moved from Wells Fargo Advisors. Prior to affiliating with Raymond James, the team, combined, managed over $200 million in client assets and had annual revenue in excess of $1.9 million.

Emerald Asset Management specializes in building investment strategies for both individuals and institutions.
