Mercer and Focus Financial Partners have reached an enterprise agreement to provide Focus Financial's partner firms access to Mercer's research and intellectual capital. This agreement will enable Focus Financial's partner firms to tap the expertise of Mercer, one of the world's largest investment consulting firms in both the institutional and wealth management markets.
Citi Private Bank has hired Steven Young as managing director and ultra-high-net-worth private banker. Based in New York, Young joins Citi from Deutsche Bank AG, where he had been a managing director and senior private banker. Prior to that, he served in a number of roles for Chase Manhattan Bank, Bank of America and Arthur Andersen.
Concert Wealth Management has hired Zameer Upadhya as a financial advisor. He will be based in Houston and Williston Park, N.Y. Tiger 21 has named Julie Garella as chair of its San Francisco group. Garella is the founder and managing director of Grayhorse Capital Partners, an advisory firm that provides strategic investment banking services to privately held and family-owned businesses. Her career in financial services spans over 25 years, beginning with Smith Barney Harris Upham, and includes founding several investment advisory and banking firms.
